What is the difference between Muay Thai, Thai boxing & K1?

Actually, there is no difference at all, well, almost none. But let's start at the beginning. First, Muay Thai and Thai boxing are in fact, the same. Muay Thai is just the original Thai pronunciation, whereas Thai boxing is the Germanized word for the same sport.
K1, however, is still the same sport but a unique style that has developed in recent years. It differs significantly from classic Thai boxing in terms of tactics and explosiveness but still relies on the same basis.
But don't worry! You don't have to miss out on any Fighting style at the Hauptstadt Gym. Here, you get the whole spectrum that today's Thai boxing has to offer. In your training schedule, you'll find classes that focus on fast fists, explosive kicks, and hard knees, as well as training groups that concentrate on the complex art of Muay Thai clinching and the iconic elbow strikes that go with it.
During your training, you will be taught all the techniques in a specific method to show you the purpose of each movement. This way, you can integrate them into your individual fighting style without just mindlessly imitating movements. Therefore, learning new skills plays a very central role in my courses. I believe that to succeed in martial arts, it is essential to constantly improve, revise, and develop your skills, as well as continuously challenge old concepts. If you just want to work out without any interest in the art of Muay Thai, you are certainly better off doing fitness boxing in a regular gym.
